It’s funny that the person with the name childmilestar which could easily be misconstrued ( if it wasn’t intended to be so ) should missinterpret a picture like this trolololol

  7. July 13th, 2011 at 22:04 | #7

lmao at people who think I’m a feminist

    July 13th, 2011 at 22:58 | #8

Honestly, if the character in the first panel was male, you’d be rofl-loling your anti-feminist selves into internet bliss.
Note: Feminism is the philosophy of equality between men and women, (not women over men).

  9. Anon
    July 13th, 2011 at 23:49 | #9

    Kinda funny but ultimately feminist.

  10. Jim
    July 14th, 2011 at 02:39 | #10

so, if it had been a female internet smashing her in the face it would have been okay? you people are weird

  11. Lucas
    July 14th, 2011 at 16:00 | #11

Honestly you people who think it is a feminist joke are pretty stupid. The joke has nothing to do with that. Try a college student trying to get work done obviously majority work is online in most cases, just an example. Get over the B.S about women not being treated as equals because if that was so, you women should be laughing at this not Bi***ing over it because by that it clearly shows you all do not want to be equal, you all want to be treated beter. There is a big difference between equal and what you all want.

Funny as hell and totally true. The internet thwarts me when I’m supposed to be doing something else.

  13. alex
    July 15th, 2011 at 01:48 | #13

LOL… I think it’s funny that everyone thinks its a feminist. Maybe the internet since ultimately created my men would come into play, or the fact that more women spend time on the internet compared to men.

  14. Mariah
    July 15th, 2011 at 17:45 | #14

How is this even remotely feminist?

  15. Taylor
    July 16th, 2011 at 06:52 | #15

Happens to me all the time, say I’m gonna get stuff done and the internet just punches me in the face xD
    (I’m a girl, btw)

  16. JohnJacobJingle
    July 16th, 2011 at 21:14 | #16

I’m pretty sure the internet is represented by a girl with very small, unnoticeable breasts and is punching the other female with the silly hat on in the face. So all feminist or non feminist arguments that have been made are invalid. Its just one really angry small boobed internet punching one excited ambitious not-internet in the face. Problem solved?

  17. Anon

    July 19th, 2011 at 21:30 | #20

Who’s to say they the internet is male anyway? You can’t see the face, and just because there’s no obvious boobs, doesn’t mean it’s not a female.

  21. Rangersmom
    July 20th, 2011 at 18:11 | #21

Ok so who’s assuming the internet is male? T-shirt and jeans could be worn by a flat chested woman. Some people spend too much time overanalysing things on the internet when the objective is as innocent as a smile or laugh.

  22. JAck
    July 21st, 2011 at 02:14 | #22

    @childmilestar
You’re a knob head, this has NOTHING to do with feminism or sexism in any way. And people who do think that are fucking stupid – like yourself.

  23. JAck
    July 21st, 2011 at 02:16 | #23

Also feminism isn’t something to be against, any dick head whose against it must be a racist, homophobic “un-equality” loving piece of shit. Feminism is equality for both men and women, not women over men – it’s not that fucking difficult.

  24. July 21st, 2011 at 17:58 | #24

How did a cartoon about the internet, keeping you from doing anything productive become a Feminist argument?

  25. voiceofreason

If it was feminist the chick wouldn’t be getting punched.

    BOOM Logic. Problem solved.

Yeah. Child Mile Star is a pretty cool dude. He, uh, assumes feminism and doesn’t afraid of anything.

  27. Scott Peterson
    July 22nd, 2011 at 11:56 | #27

By default the woman should be beaten just for having an opinion.

Well, hopefully the woman will be continually beaten even after she is off the internet.

Who cares what she has to say anyways, would’ve been nice if the guy knocked her glasses off and slapped some make-up on so she wouldn’t look so hideous.

Maybe she is so ugly that is why she is on the internet instead of giving a blowjob

  37. herpderp
    July 29th, 2011 at 20:19 | #37

    @AdriOfTheDead
There’s actually nothing wrong with being a feminist. That just means you believe men and women should be treated equally. I think the word choice of this particular troll made them look even stupider in the situation- but what do I know?

  38. jorgen
    July 29th, 2011 at 20:32 | #38

Why is the Internet being displayed as a male? There should not be any sexual attachment to the Internet. The Internet is a thing. People…I should say, ignorant people always want to attach a sex to everything. It just shouldn’t be that way. Anyway, the dumb bitch should have ducked.

  39. Scott Peterson
    July 31st, 2011 at 08:38 | #39

I think the real problem that everyone is trying to avoid here is that the woman does not have the right to have an opinion

  40. MrWerd
    July 31st, 2011 at 10:06 | #40

This is the most violent, racist, and sexist shit I’ve ever seen. It would have been more appropriate to show a mixed-heritage lesbian woman in a wheelchair being handed an award for social responsibility by a box of indeterminate size and colour.

    Otherwise, great joke!

  43. August 1st, 2011 at 05:05 | #43

  46. SomePeople’sChildren
    August 3rd, 2011 at 15:32 | #46

ChildMileStar was just being a troll. You people need to get over it.Obviously this comic has absolutely nothing to do with feminism. It has to do with how all of us are currently wasting our time on the interned rather than doing what needs to be done.I rest my case.

  47. August 4th, 2011 at 10:38 | #47

    1. Damn funny and so true!

clearly not a feminist. only a man could portray the infinite awesomeness and indignity of the INTERNET

  56. ohheyy_monet
    August 12th, 2011 at 00:38 | #56

    @childmilestar
Obviously drawn by a woman who just drew a generic figure as the internet, not really thinking of specific gender or domestic violence.

Also, pretty sure Feminists don’t think all men are women beaters. I don’t, and I’m a Feminist. So don’t talk about things you don’t understand. Educate yourself.

(And you all don’t need to tell me he’s trolling. I get it. I still think it needs to be said, since many people in the world don’t really understand what Feminism truly is. We aren’t a bunch of bra burning, man hating lesbians from the 80s. I wasn’t even alive for most of the 80s.)

  57. Logic?
    August 12th, 2011 at 03:09 | #57

This whole argument is very… pathetic. I understand both sides, however.
Firstly, don’t try and say the internet isn’t a man. That’s reasoning the girl is a man with gynecomastia (when a man has very large breasts).
About what feminism stands for, it varies. I’m support the original idea of feminism, like i would support the original idea of communism, but they both got greedy. Many (Not all) ‘feminists’ today blow everything a guy does wrong out of proportion, and wants More than men, though they’d never admit it.
I can sort of see this being misconstrued as sexist, but you’re just looking way too into it, and if a guy made this or the roles were switched, you wouldn’t bitch. Don’t be Hippocratic. As far as this being a feminist statement or comic? Lol get over it. No, its not sexist, its just what the artist was thinking in her/his head. He/She wasn’t thinking “The internet is punching some girl in the face… men do that too… lets make it a man!”, that’s just not what happened lol.
This is a joke, a funny one at that, and should not be blown out of proportion as demonstrated on this forum.

  61. Jim
    August 19th, 2011 at 20:05 | #61

Lol’ing at everyone getting mad about the feminist thing.

As far as the comic goes; some people dont have the option of sitting at home screwing around on the internet all day. Some of us have things that we’re obligated to do; it’s called a job. Trust fund leeching hipsters is our youth’s social decay.

  62. Rick
    August 20th, 2011 at 17:10 | #62

I find the comic very entertaining and very true (disregarding any gender in the comic btw)

  63. Tam
    August 27th, 2011 at 20:15 | #63

What the? is everyone on about? The comic is a joke about how we all say we are going to get things done and then spend all our time on the internet instead. As a strong independent woman, I take no offense at all at this. Don’t make issues of things that are unrelated to serious feminist issues. THAT over reaction is what ends up making feminists look bad. I for one know all about spending too much time on the net, so this was classic. Funny stuff.

  71. Steve
    September 3rd, 2011 at 23:43 | #71

Actually people, the internet depicted is right handed as it is adopting a orthodox boxing stance (left foot forward, right foot back). The punch being thrown looks to be a left jab (or range finder – as they say). Should a further picture be drawn, the internet’s next logical strike would probably be a right hook, which would be delivered with maximum power due to the momentum generated from the twisting of the hips. A lefty would be a mirror image of this.

You’re all retarded. It has nothing to do with whether or not it’s a man or a woman. It wouldn’t be sexist if it were a man punching a man, and this isn’t sexist either because the internet has no gender. Seriously people, stop reading into things so much and grow up.

    @childmilestar
actually as you can see, there is no face to the person..so you are going under the assumption that they are depicting a man. Also, i dont think that is the point they were trying to make in the cartoon.

Did you ever think that maybe she chose a male because all the popular sites out there, and much of computer-based things, were created by men (Bill Gates, Tom, Mark Zuckerburg)? And the hit in the face is because those sites and such pretty much hit you in the face with distraction? You never know, it could be a flat chested girl, so get a life on thinking it’s feminist BS.

Very true, however you miss out something.
Feminism has in fact split into two seperate movements: true feminism, which involves the ideas you mentioned, and the corrupt equivalent, which often if not actually portraying women as better than men, is where a lot of women have very harsh stereotypes for men, and show a great deal of hatred to them in some cases. Some of these can genuinely believe females to be superior, and to even deserve extra rights.

Difference between the two in my approaches:
    first one: Healthy respect
    second one: Antagonisation.
